Dr. Christen Logue

Dr. Logue joined the team at L+C in March of 2019. Prior to this time, she spent about 10 years in college mental health where she played several different roles including staff psychologist and director of a university counseling center. She then served for about 5 years as a program director and associate professor of clinical psychology at a local university.

Dr. Logue is a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky with Health Service Provider Designation. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Cumberland College, her master’s in Counseling at Lee University, and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Tennessee. She also completed an APA-accredited internship with the Student Counseling Services Center at The University of Tennessee.

Clinically, she practices from an interpersonal perspective while utilizing techniques based on cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, existential, feminist, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories. She has past publications and presentations related to vocational psychology, student leadership, and college mental health. Dr. Logue teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Introduction to Psychology and Theories and Techniques of Psychotherapy, along with other topics as needed.

Outside of work, Dr. Logue enjoys yoga and working out. She is a certified group fitness instructor with over 20 years of experience and currently teaches Pilates, Barre, and Turbo Kick (among other formats) at a local studio.
