Dr. Lauren Craven

Dr. Craven maintains a general psychological practice with a focus on the diagnosis, testing, intervention, and treatment of a variety of mental health issues.  She works with individuals of all ages who are struggling with all sorts of challenges – personal relationships, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-injury, suicidal ideation, etc.  Through a unique blend of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based techniques, she partners with her patients to develop practical, real-world solutions to life’s problems.  She provides individual, couples, and family therapy as well as psychological and psychoeducational testing, evaluation, and assessment services that are necessary for a multitude of reasons, including academic / educational planning.

Dr. Craven is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of the University of Dayton, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She continued her study of psychology at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, where she earned both a master’s degree and a doctorate in clinical psychology.  Her doctoral dissertation centered on self-injurious behaviors, a topic that is especially relevant to her practice today.  Following graduation, she completed a psychological residency at Concord Hospital (New Hampshire) and a post-doc fellowship here in Cincinnati.

Dr. Craven lives in Lakeside Park with her husband Matt, daughter Emma, and dog Tucker (an Australian Shepherd).  She is an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals and is very enthusiastic about everything Disney – especially trips to Disney World.  She also enjoys relaxing on the beach in Clearwater, Florida.
