Psychological Evaluations: ADHD, Autism & Academic Testing

Comprehensive ADHD and learning evaluations with testing and feedback.

What Are Psychological Evaluations?

Psychological evaluations at LC Psych are comprehensive, systematic assessments conducted by doctoral-level psychologists and supervised clinicians to provide an accurate, evidence-based understanding of a person's cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental functioning. Unlike a brief screening, a full evaluation draws on clinical interviews, standardized testing, behavioral observations, and review of background records to build a complete picture of a person's strengths and challenges. Evaluations are not simply about identifying what is wrong; they are fundamentally about understanding — offering clarity that informs treatment planning, academic accommodations, workplace supports, and day-to-day decision-making.

Types of Evaluations We Offer

Our evaluation services span a wide range of referral concerns and developmental periods. For children, adolescents, and adults, we offer ADHD evaluations that examine attention, executive functioning, and behavioral regulation across settings. Autism spectrum evaluations assess social communication, restricted and repetitive behaviors, and adaptive functioning using gold-standard diagnostic tools. We provide learning disability evaluations for individuals struggling with reading, writing, math, or processing, and psychoeducational evaluations that examine the full profile of cognitive and academic abilities. Additional specialty evaluations include memory and cognitive screening for adults, IQ and gifted testing, personality assessment, and a range of pre-employment, forensic, and medical-clearance evaluations.

Our Evaluation Process

Every evaluation at LC Psych begins with a clinical interview — a structured conversation with the evaluator designed to understand your concerns, gather developmental and medical history, and establish the specific diagnostic questions the assessment is intended to answer. From there, we administer a carefully selected battery of validated, standardized measures tailored to your referral question and age. Testing sessions are conducted in a supportive, low-pressure environment designed to elicit each person's genuine performance rather than a stressed or rushed approximation of it. Once testing is complete, results are scored, integrated, and interpreted in light of all available clinical information.

Receiving and Using Your Results

After testing is complete, you will meet with your evaluator for a comprehensive feedback session in which the findings are explained clearly — not in clinical jargon, but in plain language that is meaningful and actionable. A written report summarizing the evaluation, diagnostic conclusions, and specific recommendations is provided. Recommendations may include tailored treatment approaches, school or workplace accommodations, referrals to other specialists, or specific interventions aligned with your profile. We see the feedback session as one of the most important parts of the evaluation process — a time to ask questions, process findings, and leave with a clear path forward.
